Traditional power cables are limited by distance, terrain, and infrastructure, making them expensive and difficult to install, especially in remote or challenging environments. They are prone to wear and tear, requiring constant maintenance and posing risks of power outages and damage. Wireless power transmission, on the other hand, eliminates the need for physical connections, delivering energy seamlessly across vast distances—whether from ground stations or satellites—without the constraints of cables. This approach reduces costs, increases reliability, and provides access to energy in places where cables simply cannot reach, revolutionizing how we power the world.
Looking ahead, wireless power transmission will be key to powering the next era of space exploration. It can enable sustainable energy for satellites, create a dependable power grid for lunar bases, and provide continuous energy to rovers and landers on the Moon. As we extend our reach to Mars, this technology could one day deliver power to the Red Planet, supporting future colonies and exploration missions. Wireless power opens the door to limitless possibilities, both on Earth and beyond.
Meet the people behind the tech. We’re a tight-knit team of curious thinkers, problem solvers, and dreamers, all united by one goal: to change how the world gets its energy. What truly connects us is our passion for pushing boundaries and making the impossible happen. From Earth to space, we’re working together to bring wireless power where it’s needed most — and we’re just getting started.
Matyáš got his undergraduate degree in Physics from Sorbonne Université and his Master’s degree in Optics and Photonics from Imperial College London. He interned at SpaceChain and HiLASE, where he worked in the Advanced Laser Development team on a 2.1-micron thin-disk laser. He also collaborated with the Czech Technical University on a project for the European Space Agency, analysing data from a hyperspectral camera. His core values are honesty, excellence, and fairness, and he brings these attributes to the everyday decision-making at Celestia.
Pavel graduated from University College London with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Finance. He worked at CERN designing a positron source for the next-generation particle collider. Most recently, he led a team of engineers and physicists developing a commercial qubit–photon interface at the world-leading quantum networking company Nu Quantum. He joined Celestia Energy as a Lead Mechanical Engineer, applying his deep expertise in mechanical design for optical systems to accelerate the development of the commercial systems for long-range wireless power transmission.
Shresth got his integrated Master’s in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Computing from Imperial College London. He completed a year long industrial placement at BAE Systems, where he worked as a Data Scientist and developed machine learning models for satellite image analysis and EM Aircraft Testing. He also worked as a Design and Development Engineer at Stars Edge, creating advanced simulations for VLEO satellite electric propulsion systems. He is joining Celestia to lead the development of our software platform, applying his expertise in computer vision technology and communication protocols to enable autonomous wireless power delivery.
Sol is the Lead Control Systems Engineer at Celestia with more than a decade of experience in industrial automation and advanced technologies. He has led the development of complex motion control and automation systems across digital printing at HP Indigo, additive manufacturing at Nikon SLM, and aerospace at Isar Aerospace, focusing on high‑performance, highly reliable machines. At Celestia Energy, he applies his deep expertise in control systems, motion control, and machine design to develop the real‑time control architectures that underpin Celestia’s long‑range wireless power transmission systems.
David has more than a decade of experience in embedded software and hardware engineering, electronics design and PCB development. He previously worked as a Software Engineer at Prusa Research and in the IoT industry, developing electronic systems and equipment for programming and testing smart meters and wireless sensors. His expertise also extends to mechanical design, machining, and rapid prototyping. As an independent project, he designed and built a wristwatch for deafblind users, combining custom electronics, embedded software, and mechanical design. At Celestia Energy, he applies his multidisciplinary engineering experience to the development of reliable electronic and embedded systems for long-range wireless power transmission.
